Christmas Trees Have Arrived!

Christmas Trees

Why the Noble fir is just the quintessential Christmas tree!

Our Noble fir trees have a more uniform growth pattern and are more easily shaped into the traditional cone pattern. Often times they require little or no pruning. So the trees we get are what people envision as the "perfect Christmas tree." The foliage on Noble firs is softer than on many of the other conifers and as such is more ‘friendly’ in the household where it may be jostled against - so they are Kid Friendly. The branches are a bit shorter but thicker so that they better support lights and ornaments, so they decorate beautifully.

Even when not properly watered, they hold their needles longer than other conifers. We get ours directly from the grower so ours are cut, loaded and brought directly to Wegman’s. They haven’t been cut weeks before and put in a semi and hauled around. When properly cared for, Noble firs will last at least three weeks indoors without dropping needles.

Remember that Wegman’s flocks trees and is able to apply fire retardant if you are using the tree in a commercial building.

Come in early for the best selection!

Living Christmas Trees

Living Christmas Trees

Each year, living Christmas trees are becoming more popular because of their many advantages over other types of Christmas trees.

Some of the biggest advantages of using living Christmas trees are the lessening of fire hazard, their future use in the landscape, and the fact that they may often be used more than one year as a living Christmas tree in the home.

Living Christmas Trees

Living Christmas trees offer year-round beauty when planted in the landscape after Christmas and can also serve as outdoor Christmas trees for many years to come. Planted in the landscape, living trees also become a yearly source for cut greens to use during the holiday season.

We have a large selection of variable sizes of potted Dwarf Alberta Spruces, Colorado Green Spruces and Colorado Blue Spruces.

The care of a living Christmas tree is a bit different because it is a living plant. But with a little planning and care you can enjoy a new tradition that will live in your yard for many years to come.

We have prepared a special Care Guide for Living Christmas Trees that you can print:
